The Forlorn Forest

(Background) June 16, 1205: Answering a plea from long-time friend Dane Bramage, a party consisting of Quinlin, Steven Renchor, Nomad, Lady, and Volgan traveled to the Forlorn forest to discover some disturbing events. Supply shipments from Vlekstaad are overdue. After some investigation, the party learns that these shipments go through the town of Harrow’s Crossing and that all communication between Harrow’s Crossing and Vlekstaad has been lost. In addition, ships bound for port city of Barstow we forced to harbor in Seaton due to attacks on Barstow.

After meeting the Chieftain Bramage, the party felt a trip to Harrow’s Crossing was necessary to discovered why the supply shipment were missing. Travel to Harrow’s Crossing proved more hazardous than expected as they encountered a surprisingly large number of humanoid creatures (Kobolds, Orcs, and such).

While in Harrow’s Crossing, the party learned that the lands between Harrow’s Crossing and Vlekstaad had been overrun by all sorts of creatures, ogres, trolls, and giants, so they decided to travel to Vlekstaad to see if they could discover what power was controlling such a force. On the way to Vlekstaad, the party rescued an elven oracle named Dasha Flamestar who told them that an evil force who called themselves “The Gladiators of Doom” had attacked Vlekstaad to gain possession of magic tome of great power.

On the way to Vlekstaad, the party battled many powerful creatures and encountered a mysterious and beautiful Drow rouge who nearly killed Quinlin. When they arrive at Vlekstaad, they discovered the city was under siege by giants, trolls, ogres and dragons. With the aid of Nomad’s magical spells, the party entered the city and discovered the tome was being guarded by the priests of Thor.

The party found the temple of Thor, and was able to recover the tome just as the Gladiators broke down the temple’s doors and killed the front lines of priests that were guarding the party’s escape. During the confusion Lady and Renchor became separated from the group. Nomad cast a spell that whisked Steven, Quinlin, and Volgan away in a puff of magical energy, leaving them to guess the fate of Lady and Renchor.
